Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu
This Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu is totally different from the classic Salkantay trek, we try our best to find authentic routes to Machu Picchu where you can enjoy with your loved ones especially when you cannot get the Inca trail permits this is a perfect alternative trek to Machu Picchu, in this trek, you will hike a section of the original Inca trail and explore the Inca sites along the Salkantay hike.

Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu - itinerary
DAY 01 CUSCO – SORAYPAMPA– PAMPA JAPONESA
Collection from your hotel at 6 am in our private transportation to the starting point of our trek (SorayPampa) here we will have our lunch before the hike then we will hike to the famous lake Humantay then we will continue to Salkantay Pampa where we will have our first lunch after lunch we will head to Pampa Japonesa here we will spend our first night with a spectacular view of the glacier of Salkantay and Humantay will be the most beautiful and the coldest night in the trek.
DAY TWO PAMPA JAPONESA – INCA CHIRIASCCA PASS – INCA CANAL – PAUCARCANCHA
In the morning you will have a wakeup call with a nice hot coca tea then we will have our breakfast with an incredible view of the snow-capped mountains after breakfast we will start with the adventure to the highest point Inca Chiriscca summit from here will start descending will be all down the rest of the day we will stop at Sisay Pampa for our lunch after Lunch we will continue with our hike down to our second campsite close by to Paucarcancha Inca site where we will spend our second night the weather will be much warmer than the first night.
DAY THREE PAUCAR CANCHA – WAYLLAMABA – KM. 82 – OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU
After a good breakfast we will start with our third-day adventure before breakfast we will explore the amazing Incan site of Paucarcancha then we will start going down to Wayllabamba village from here we will follow the original Inca trail we will meet Inca trail hikers on the way we will see the biggest Inca site along the four days Inca trail Llaccta Pata from here we will hike one more hour to our lunch spot after lunch we will head to KM. 82 the official starting point on the Inca trail at this point our private transportation will be waiting for us to take us to Ollantaytambo Inca living town here we will enjoy our last dinner after dinner we will take the train to Machu Picchu town where we will spend a night in a three-star hotel.
DAY FOUR MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO
This day is the most important day we will arrive at the new seven wonders of the world Machu Picchu citadel.
After an early breakfast, we will head to the bus station to take the bus to Machu Picchu citadel the bus ride will take 30 minutes approx. once in Machu Picchu citadel your tour guide will give you a guided tour around machu Picchu for about two to three hours then you will have some free time off if you have tickets to Wayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain you will hike (tickets need to be booked in advance) after you will take the bus back to Machu Picchu town then train back to Ollantaytambo where our private bus will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco and drove at your hotel.
